RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write server-side code, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
  • Design and build new plugins into the WordPress platform critical to the digital flow clients.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and designers to deliver strong customer-focused experiences.
  • Practice disciplined software engineering (e.g. clean code, code reviews, and writing beautiful, pragmatic code).
  • Actively contribute to team and company standards.
  • Maintain current site, fix issues that arise.
  • Understanding of SEO current best standards and schema mockup.
  • Take ownership of the project since the beginning to delivery of the project
  • Demonstrate discipline, respect team members and project deadlines
  • Mentor junior team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong Object Oriented development skills and proficiency in WordPress, PHP, JS, CSS & JS
    • Solid understanding and working knowledge of WordPress architecture, vanilla WordPress configuration, theme template and plugin development based on WordPress best practices Strong working knowledge and use of Responsive Web Design and UX design principles and best practices
  • Extensive experience developing custom WordPress plugins
  • A strong understanding of, and practical experience with, custom WordPress development.
  • A sincere commitment to crafting readable and reliable code.
  • A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design practices.
  • Strong understanding of database schema design, caching and scalability.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • Experience on using Bitbucket or Github
  • Strong Knowledge and experience with responsive design and development
  • Experience mentoring other engineers, and the desire to lead
